Membertou Market Expansion
Since opening its doors in 2002, management at the Membertou Market noticed a change in customer shopping and eating habits when Sunday shopping became unrestricted in Nova Scotia in 2006. Following this deregulation today’s customers are now more attracted to convenience, easy preparation and more grab-and-go options and the Membertou Market is poised to meet this emerging trend by expanding its current operations to include two additional food service outlets to its already successful Country Chicken outlet. Plans are in development for an Express Deli that will serve a variety of made to order sandwiches that feature freshly baked breads and soups and salads. Health conscience customers will enjoy selected healthy alternative menu items. A third food service outlet that offers coffee, muffins, pastries and breakfast sandwiches is also being developed and may operate 24 hours per day. An expanded 16 to 20 seat eat in area will be centrally located in the building and current customers can rest assured that the Membertou Market will still carry all of their favorite convenience items. The expansion promises to be a unique shopping experience for Eastern Canada with three in house food service operations under a convenience store roof that will implement new, different and innovative concepts to keep the Membertou Market’s offer fresh, relevant, and convenient. |
