The Membertou Market opened its doors in December 2001 and has been serving hundreds of customers per day! The Membertou Market was the first hybrid style market in eastern Nova Scotia, putting Membertou in the forefront of the convenience store/gasoline industry. The Market was designed to provide a much needed 24 hour retail service to serve the greater Sydney area.
The Market offers a variety of products including grocery items, fresh fruit and vegetables, gas, diesel and propane, lottery and tobacco items. The Membertou Market also houses Membertou Country Chicken take out: a fast food take out service offering quality chicken and side dishes.
The Membertou Market currently employs approximately 30 people and is planning to expand eat in area and add a coffee shop outlet and complete Deli services to meet our customers growing demand for quality products and services.
